The Festival Venue will be located in the premises of the "old campus" of the Vienna University of Economics and Business which is currently being used by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences.
Viennas ninth district “Alsergrund” is associated with many notable names of Viennese art and science. It is known to be more affluent and also includes much of the University of Vienna.
You will not find many tourists in this neighbourhood although it's the quarter with the Sigmund Freud Museum, the death place of Beethoven and the birth place of Schubert, the Liechtenstein museum and last but not least the famous Strudelhofstiege.
Near the festival location is the Spittelau waste incineration plant, a popular photographic motif in Vienna, whose façade was redesigned and given its present colorful, irregular structures by eco-architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
The students cause a large number of nice restaurants, cafés and bars all over the Alsergrund.
